Our orthodontic team is a fun-loving group with many years of experience providing gentle, advanced care to our community. Their loyalty, experience, and dedication to the practice and our patients means the world to Dr. Burns.

Treatment Coordinator / Office Manager

In 1989, I graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry with an associate’s degree in dental hygiene. That’s also where I met Rick! There’s a lot to love about working with him. He is an excellent orthodontist and has a high ethical standard.

What I do best at Rick Burns Ortho:  I am a treatment coordinator for new patients. I love trying to figure out what Dr. Rick's treatment plan will be before he looks at a new patient.  I am often right and occasionally wrong.  Thank goodness he is doing the exam and the treatment planning.

What I am most passionate about:  I love my job, family, our animals, reading and great friends. I also love to watch Jeopardy. I like to stay in shape, by running and living an active lifestyle.

Patient / Insurance Coordinator

I graduated from the Indiana University Dental Assisting School in 1994. After completion of this program I began working in the dental field as an orthodontic assistant.  I really enjoy working with Dr. Burns because he is knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and he is really fun too!

What I do best at Rick Burns Ortho:  I keep Dr. Burns busy with his treatment plans, and I handle patient accounts and insurance matters.

What I am most passionate about: My son Calvin and Cooper our Golden Doodle

When I am not busy at Rick Burns Ortho you can find me: Spending time with friends, going to my son's sporting events, hiking, biking and gardening

Treatment Coordinator / Orthodontic Assistant

I completed the Care Center Program during High School, and in 1998 began my career in the dental field.  I love working with Dr. Rick because he sits down with each and every one of his patients and explains their case.  He explains treatment in a way that his patients have a full understanding of their orthodontic needs.

What I do best at Rick Burns Ortho:  I welcome new patients and teach them about orthodontics.  I try to help our patients feel comfortable at their appointments.  I see many patients with different orthodontic needs on a daily basis, and I enjoy learning about each one.

What I am most passionate about:  My children and being a great mom. My faith, my relationship with God and enjoying life. While I love all music, my favorite is country.

When I am not busy at Rick Burns Ortho you can find me:  Spending time with my two children, Kaleb and Kamryn.

Orthodontic Assistant / Inventory Ordering

I completed the Indiana University Dental Assisting program, and have been working in the dental field since 1979.  I enjoy working with the Rick Burns Ortho team because we have the same common goal of providing excellent care to our patients.  We have fun in a relaxed atmosphere, and we get the work done.

What I do best at Rick Burns Ortho:  I keep our inventory in check, and order all the supplies we need.  While working with patients I try to help make each visit to the office a positive experience while truly listening to concerns, and answering any questions the patient may have.

What I am most passionate about:  My family (especially my grandson Irving).  I love my dogs and I really care about helping save our environment.

When I am not busy at Rick Burns Ortho you can find me:  Spending time with my husband and our two dogs, or spending time with family and friends.

Head Orthodontic Assistant

I have my x-ray certification from Indiana University South Bend.  I learned about orthodontics from the best teacher ever, and that is Dr. Rick Burns!  I enjoy working with the Rick Burns Ortho team because my co-workers and I have become like family.  We all have diffierent backgrounds and personalities, but get along pretty well.

What I do best at Rick Burns Ortho:  Bonding brackets is my forte, but I also deliver Herbst appliances and expanders.

What I am most passionate about:  My faith and my family

When I am not at Rick Burns Ortho you can find me:  Drinking coffee, and spending time with my husband Matt and our four red-headed children

Scheduling Coordinator

I have always been interested in the field of dentistry, but I did not have experience until I started working at  Rick Burns Orthodontics.  I'm a former patient; therefore I know first-hand that Dr. Burns is a great orthodontist.  I really enjoy working with th RBO team because my co-workers are cheerful, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to help me.

When I am not busy at Rick Burns Ortho you can find me:  At the gym, running or walking with my dogs, or at the pool

Invisalign Treatment Coordinator

I attended the dental assisting program at Ross Medical and began my career in the dental field in 2013.  Rick Burns Orthodontics is a Platinum Provider of Invisalign. I coordinate all of our Invisalign patients from  initiation to completion of their treatment. For as long as I have been in the field, RBO is by far the best team I have worked with.  Dr. Rick trains his employees to be the best out there, and he sets a high standard for patient care.

Favorite food on the braces no- no list:  crunchy tacos, but with Invisalign I do not have food restrictions

What I do best at Rick Burns Ortho:  I make sure our patients are successful with their Invisalign treatment.  I teach our patients the importance of good oral hygiene. Teeth are something you should keep forever!!!

The things I am most passionate about:  My son Carson, family, fitness, dogs and donuts

When I am not busy at Rick Burns Ortho you can find me:  Spending time with my son Carson at his baseball and basketball games, working out at the gym, and spending time with family and friends.
